Almost every product from Nintendo of Europe (NOE) displays a coloured triangle on its packaging, among them the game covers. There are many different colours, they are used to code which language(s) the product is in. Contrarily to other regions, mainly North America and Japan, the area covered by NOE is far from being monolingual and many localisations of a same given product exist. If nowadays most games exist in only one version for the whole of Europe, thanks to multilingual discs, the covers are usually in only one language and every version comes with its coloured triangle on the bottom of the spine.
According to the UK Nintendo The Official Magazine there are 49 different colours used by NOE[1]. This page's goal is to make an inventory of all these colours.
